LUMÆ Project — A period home in old-town Caen

In the heart of old-town Caen, a home where stone, wood and light converse — and where all the technology is controlled with a single gesture.

Exposed stone, period beams, large garden-facing bays: an exceptional place where every automation had to remain invisible. Pool audio, home cinema in the lounge-bar, whole-villa network, Control4 supervision and KNX & DALI lighting — all unified, scripted, within reach.

The work

Five disciplines brought together in a single ecosystem, supervised from one interface.

01Control4 supervision

The brain of the home. All the automation — lights, sound, network, scenes — controlled and unified through Control4, on touchscreens, remotes and smartphone.

02KNX & DALI lighting

Full lighting control in KNX and DALI, with lifestyle scenes integrated and triggered from Control4. The right light, at every moment of the day.

03Home cinema — lounge & bar

In the lounge-bar, a home cinema with a drop-down screen and immersive sound, which disappears entirely when not in use.

04Pool audio

The pool area fully sound-equipped, in perfect acoustic continuity with the rest of the home — controlled, too, from the single interface.

05Network & Wi-Fi

A whole-villa network and Wi-Fi infrastructure sized for the entire household: even coverage, IT network management and a reliable foundation for all the automation.

The pool area

A pool beneath a glass roof, sound-equipped and controlled, where natural light sets the rhythm of the day.
